Flapjacks are quick and easy to make and bake and a great way to get kids involved.

Try this recipe out for yourself.

Makes 8 regular squares, 16 mini squares or 32 bites

500ml plant based milk
200g oats (I use gluten free however regular works fine too)
30g sugar (I use coconut or brown sugar however you can even use Maple Syrup)
30g mixed dried vine fruits (raisins, sultanas, cranberries etc.)
4 tbsp nut butter (I use almond butter however peanut or cashew works fine too)
Pinch of cinnamon
Pinch of salt

  1. Pre-heat the oven to 180c
  2. In a mixing bowl add all the ingredients and mix until smooth
  3. Line baking tray with baking paper
  4. Pour mixture out into a baking tray (at least 1 inch thickness)
  5. Bake in the oven for 40 minutes
  6. Cool before slice and enjoy

– To chocolatey flapjacks, add 50g of dark plant based chocolate chips
– For plain flapjacks, remove the 30g vine fruits and add 30g extra sugar
– To make flapjacks more nutty with a bite, simply add 30g crushed nuts of your choice
