Virtuoso Cooking School is a place where you will learn how to cook simple yet creative, nutritious vegan foods and drinks. Taking it further we will look at the benefits of food and drink, the way it is prepared and consumed, the impact on our whole being and the benefits that can be achieved, body, mind and soul.
Our classes may comprise of the following:
~ 1/2 day or one day classes
~ Weekend workshops
~ Week long retreats (UK and Europe)
~ Team building workshops (specifically arranged to suit your organisation)
~ Family and couple workshops (specifically arranged to suit your needs)
Typically our classes are hands-on and will include tutorial and guidance. Where lunch is included, it will include the wonderful foods and drinks we have created together.

Although we are based in Bedford, Bedfordshire UK, we travel nationally to host workshops around the country so please contact us to register your interest and enquire further.

During your class/course you will:
- Learn how to prepare and cook creative vegetarian/vegan/raw food (starter/snack, main dish and accompaniment, sweet treat, drinks)
- Develop mindful awareness of your relationship and your creativity around cooking and eating
- How we consciously approach preparing and eating food?
- Food combining and the benefits
- Focus on eating natural whole foods which are vegetarian, vegan, gluten free, no added sugar and using only healthy fats
- Explore the colour, as well as taste and texture and the impact on the body
- Develop awareness of your own being through gentle movements and meditation
- Experience how a positive relationship to food is important in ensuring overall energy, health and well-being

- Are willing to engage fully in the programme of mindfulness practice

I looked around for ages to find a vegan caterer and am pleased to have come across Guilda from Virtuoso. I hired Guilda to cater for my daughter’s wedding which included a wedding cake as well as buffet style dinner catering for 150 guests. My husband and I hired Virtuoso Foods to cater for my son’s graduation party which doubled as an engagement party and we loved all the offerings. I attended a Vegan baking course after getting fed up of forever making dense, heavy vegan cakes and found the course really helpful. Guilda is an excellent teacher and was able to pass on some great hints and tips. I made a Victoria sponge for my dad and he couldn’t believe it was vegan. We attended a middle eastern cooking class with Guilda which was fantastic. She’s very knowledgeable and clearly passionate about what she does. After seeing all the delicious foods and cakes being posted on Facebook I decided to book myself and my mum (late birthday gift) on the Introduction to vegan baking workshop. We loved it, Guilda was informative and patient and guided us to create delicious cakes and cupcakes which we were able to take home with us all boxed up nicely. Having just become Vegan as part of the Veganuary push in 2018, living in Toddington, I decided to try one of these cooking workshops ‘Introduction to Vegan Cooking & Baking’. I enjoyed the day as I not only learnt how to make quick and easy and tasty dishes, I got to take some home for the family to enjoy. Guilda is also helpful on email with my questions and advise.

I attended Guilda’s cookery class recently. After receiving a warm welcome, the day was explained with handouts and recipes. As a group we worked well together to create the menu for our lunch. Guilda explained the benefits of what we were putting together. And what a delicious, nutritious lunch it was too. I loved this course because it was educational, hands on and very tasty as we got to eat what we made. Guilda is exceptionally knowledgeable, a great tutor and made the day fun.

After being to the cafe on numerous occasions and sad that it closed, we decided to treat our family and friends to my wife’s 50th birthday party with all ‘Cafe Virtuoso’ style buffet. Everything was gone (except the sneaky plates we hid to enjoy the next day) and will use them again. We miss you!!

Both my friend and I attended a workshop recently, ‘Creative Vegan Cooking’ and amongst 5 other ladies, we thoroughly enjoyed learning about eating mindfully as well as creating some delicious foods (my new favourite being tempeh now I know how to cook it!). It was fun and what I enjoyed most was actually cooking handson which helped to make the recipes stick in my mind. Thank you Guilda and we will be back (perhaps see you in London) x

I brought my son and daughter along to the Junior Chef workshop and they loved it. It was a morning well spent which I didn’t have to clear up afterwards for (sorry!). Along with 6 other kids, the workshop was put together with knowledge and good explanations.

I came along to the Health and Tasty workshop and enjoyed the class. I love the corn chowder, it was so tasty and creamy and will definitely be making this for the family often, not so keen on quinoa but thats my personal taste and LOVED the shortcake cookies and jam. I was always under the impression that to make jam you needed loads of sugar, not so. Will be making my own jams from now on. Thanks Guilda and will be back again when I have some more free time.
